Have done search and read..... :)

Hi all. This is what I have, under XP PRO SP3 ran like champ, had hard drive issues lost everything. Installed new HD 160 GB NFTS, Win 7. Everything went great installed Win 7 and got list from forum to install WIN 7 Drivers in proper sequence, all went well, except:

    Touchpad
    Touchscreen and GPS

Win 7 will see touchpad and touchscreen, wont let me install Vista/win 7 drivers says error. Also when I try to install/rightclick INf file, says OS will not install that method use device manager. When I go device manger and add new device it just sits there?

Win 7 installed GPS registry patch, even took out corner guard to physically see gps antenna( its there), GPSINFO will not see it.

Funny thing is touchpad and screen are working about 95% once in a while if I do to many tasks at a time, I get the "jumping mouse " thing? have to restart.

I will keep trying as I go. ANY info or link appreciated.

Thanks all , great forum and info........ :)

PS OK after hours of searching , found post for hyperterminal solution, after several trys GPS started working.

Still need to get touchscreen drivers working and calibrated, as I cannot use the touchscreen about 3/8s inch from edge, makes it hard to close alrge windows among other things.

Any info appreciated............................... :) Will keep reading post and searching.

Ps PS Ok after more hours of searching, the Panasonic drivers just wont work fro me, Win 7 Pro sp1 32bit, BUT I found after some searching that this one from CNet Downloads, called FCL USB Pen Tablet...............cbsidlm-cbsi145-FCL_Serial_Pen_Tablet-SEO-145957, seems to work for me.

My touchpad is still occasionally erratic, but using Win 7 drivers seems to work.

On a side note, I seem to have Dual Tablet/digitizer on my CF 30, as digitizer pen from my CF 18 works( has little square thingy where ever you contact screen) and touchscreen seems to respond to finger touch, PLUS in BIOs has auto touchscreen and tablet options??? have never seen this??? before.

Get the Synaptics touchpad drivers from their website. They work much better.

Did you disable the GPS *BEFORE* you installed the GPS patch? If not... It won't work correctly in some cases.

Your GPS should be on COM3... Look in Device Manager to see what your ports are doing. Also try resetting BIOS to Default and reboot.

In addition, If you are using win 7 the ts must be set to tablet mode on the bios otherwise you need some pulling of hair.

Something I found when installing Win 7, was you need to boot into Bios (f2) and go to "Advanced". Scroll down to "Serial" and open up. Scroll down to "GPS" and "disable" it. Then,
run the Vista Registry GPS Patch: Official Support Download Center of the Drivers, Manuals and FAQs | TOUGHBOOK | TOUGHPAD | Panasonic Global Notebook PC
Hopefully this helps. Re-boot and log back in. Bottom left go to Start, and type in "calibration" in the search bar. I think you'll find a touch screen calibration program to run. Cheers
