Hi, before anything I did search and applied several fixes to no avail.

Ok I have to Cf 30s. My Cf 30 C model, the gps works flawlessly in Vista, installed Win & works flawlessly even indoors.

Now my Cf 30 F model, the gps worked flawlessly in Vista. Now I installed a dual boot Win 8/Win 7 ( that was a chore to get all drivers in there!!! ) Okay now the gps in both works so so, does not respond as fast as Vista install??? tried very driver in the model range, but still so so, not very fast. It cant be a device damaged as it worked flawlessly in Vista. Tried diff gps registry from Panasonic no luck?? can it be a OS issue, on side not my SD card will not work in Win 8?? related??

Any info let me know, thanks....................................... :)

Panasonic did use 2 different GPS modules in the CF30..
    One was a Sony...GXB5005
The other is a Leadtek LR9548S

Maybe you have a different module in the CF30C than you do in the CF30F?

Hi thanks for info. I reinstalled several times and got it to work. The Cf 30 Model C is great indoors/outdoors. The Cf 30 model F, now only gets 1-3 inside and cant get gps fix, but works normally outside. I am not sure what the OS issue is but there is a diff. Worked great in Vista!!

The same with the SD card, as this a dual boot Win 7 flawless, Win 8 drivers says good but wont read?? tried several cards all good in Win 7.

Any one that can post Leadtek LR9548S drivers let me know please? As I saw a thread about win 7 install with Mark?? and it had links in it?, just cant find it now thanks................................... :)

Have you checked out PL2303 Prolific? It's a bit of a USB to Serial/Parallel driver. I'm running it on all my GPS units for M$. Linux has similar.....sometimes installed automatically when udev senses a GPS. (Or something..I'm no tech)
I've used numerous Leadtek and Sony modules and this is the ONLY driver it seems to need.
The confusion of your SD card indicates a USB Serial issue. (I think maybe possibly :))
    Good luck.

Prolific PL2303 converts a USB port to a virtual serial port. I don't know why you need to do that other than the fact that most GPS units out put serial data. It comes with the BU353 GPS which is the only one I ever use so I always install it in my computers. My fancier GPS units require a 4 way serial splitter which costs a lot of money. There is far too much other stuff plugged into the computer to try to run those inputs to virtual ports. PL2303 is a tiny driver, you don't need to tell it which port to convert (it knows) and it's free. Why not?
