    Hi all,

I'm looking for a CF 31mk3 service manual. Any model CF 31 service manual will do. I have found a simplified service manual online but it's limited in the part numbers it provides. I want to install the webcam, mic and gps. With GPS clear. On the CF-30 has been input for the internal microphone (CN27) on the CF-31 ??? I would greatly appreciate your help!!

This user manual. It is no detailed information. I am interested in pinout 7 pin connector on the board sensor LSD. I think this connector web camera and microphone.
I found that to it are 2 pin power 2 yusb camera, microphone 3 pins a signal+power (as in CF-30) or a digital microphone. The microphone should be otherwise there is no point in Cam.
5 wires go directly to the system board.

I think the pin is 1.2 USB cam, as they are located side by side. Pin 3 + 5V. Pin 4,5,7 sound (analog in CF-30 or digital clk data). 6 gnd. It is my personal opinion, in the near future I want to test the webcam. It must come GPS neo-8, will install and check the camera. As a result of write.

    FYI
CF C1 web cams are cheap on ebay. Great to experiment with.

I assume you mean the pin numbers on the camera connector

As you look at the CF31 screen.
Camera goes under the antenna cover on the right side.

It will have to make the transition from the inside to the outside, then sealing it.

    I was considering a C1 camera.
It is thin enough that it should fit under the WIFI antenna.
Then drill a small hole for the lens in the antenna cover.

I have a camera with Acer, there is a decorative overlay for the eye. Tomorrow will send the photo. I think the original purchase of the CF-31 is difficult?

    All a Happy Christmas!

Measured signals of 5 volts coming from the fuse F16 (accidentally burned and restored). But the camera is not detected by the inputs, it can not set some of the elements and can be blocked at the level of the BIOS. We need a circuit diagram.

No CF31 schematics in the wild that I have found.
I have been looking for over a year.

Thanks for the wiring diagram of what you have so far.
Odds are that one of the pins from the camera connector needs to be grounded out.
At least that is the way Panasonic does it for some other accessories.
The other possibility is that the camera models use a custom BIOS.
Perhaps getting a CF-C1 camera and ringing out the pins would give some insight.

I connected the general conclusion (gnd). If I find time, I take off the motherboard and try to keep track of where usb go.

    That sounds like a plan.
Where are you located? I have a passworded and drive encrypted CF31 motherboard I could donate to this project.
That way you will not need to tear down your CF31.

62° 30′ 53″ N, 65° 53′ 16″ E Andra. I am pleased that there are people interested in my plan. If you are willing to sacrifice their motherboard to learn, I'll pay for sending me back and forth. If you have the opportunity to send a photo of good quality on both sides. I saw a photo of poor quality with MK2, MK3 they think a very similar.

Give me some time and I will provide good quality photos.
I need to get the camera and tripod setup.
I have been sick with influenza all week. I am still not fully recovered.

mk2 and mk3 are very similar. mk1 is different
