This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I have a CF-30 here somewhere that has a screen to match the last image. Looks like they used a 16d nail for a stylus.

    d=penny for those not familiar with the term.

    Yep. 16d nails used to hang pictures on wall. Husband says “why not use a railroad spike?”

    I found it and the computer had morphed to a CF-29MK4. (head shake)

    Turned out to be a non-touch. I truly pity the individual that scratched the screen up trying to FIX the touch screen. It works a lot better with a TSPCB and a touchscreen.

    Sent from CF-29LBLGZBM running antiX17 on 128 gig ssd. And the touch works. :D
