    Hello,
i bougth one CF-3140193CE, when i open the memory box i saw one "EM 7305" 4g/gps card, with no cables connected to the card. Near to the card there are 2 cables (one brown, and one grey), both with small connectrs and the end. Those cables are not connected to nothing. Should i connect one or the 2 cables to receive gps signals? Where shouls i connect (gps, aux, main)?
IN windows device manager--- network adapters, i can see "Sierra Wireless Mobile Broadband Network Adapter". And in ports (COM & LPT), i can see Sierra Wireless DM Port (COM3) and Sierra Wireless NMEA Port (in COM5).
I use "GpsViewer" and he detects the COM 5 (with 4800 or 9600 bps), but he does not show satelites. Zero.
I am using windows 7 pro 64 bits.
Any ideea how to solve this?
    thanks in advance.

Ignore GPS for now. Remove two wireless antenna covers. The colors should match. (brown/grey)You can see the colored ends. Antennas are labeled. Aux probably on the right.
One may even be aux/gps or something. (on the pcb label)

    Checking my 31MK2:
Mark2 Grey goes left and is labeled WWAN+LTE.......WLAN Main has a white cable. Single antenna PCB has both antennas. On mine right has green cable label WWAN AUX.
I have nothing above 31S to look at.
Take a peak at wireless passthrough from inside. They maybe use it as a junction block if your colors don't match.
OEM GPS antenna lives under black cover on lid. If it has GPS antenna.

On a dual pass-through the back door may be marked. GPS and either WWAN or WLAN.

I use the word "may" a lot as I have not seen a MK5.

Thanks for your sugestions i will try to check all that.
If i dont have one gps antenna, where can i found one to plug in "EM7305" card? Whats the best antenna to install inside the cf31? Whats the name of that connector, that connects the antenna cable to the card?
    Thanks in advance.

I'll see if I can find a picture or link.

Do you have a single or dual pass-through?

My 31S is not marked as the CF-30MK1 used to be. (30MK1 has dual pass) GPS is the bottom one on the 30MK1.

First thing is pull the right antenna cover. One screw.

    Ufl connector.

Get a factory GPS antenna for the CF 31. They fit perfectly in the upper corner of the lid.
    Part number DFUP1849ZA

It will have an orange cable.

Get the official part from Panasonic. It's probably not that expensive.

    Hello,
Following your sugestions i found 2 diferent antennas inside. Both are for WWAN. Brow cable is labeled as "WWAN Aux" (DFUP2543ZA), and grey as "WWAN+LTE" (DFUP2533ZA). Should i connect the two cables to "EM7305" in "MAIN" and "AUX"?
Witch software should i install to test the 4G, and where can i find it?
Thanks again for you ideas and patience.
    Best regards

You may need to get an account with the carrier.
WWAN is not my area of expertise. Maybe another member has more information.

i had a devil of a time with my WWAN card ... there is some software needed in order to see if the card is really working .
part of the software depends on what carrier (service supplier) you want to use .
my card was used and still had some data on it from the previous owner (account) , sooo ... it retrieved some messages .
i was fortunate that the carrier i wanted to use was the one that was installed on my '30 .

Hello, i really cannot find any software to test the card. Does the GPS only works if there one valid SIM card inside (and one GPS antenna is connected)?
    Thanks in advance.
