Are you referring the WWAN or the WLAN? I assume the WWAN

Not real familiar with the 52... But some things don't show up in the BIOS unless they are installed.

Things like GPS and Wifi have no settings to set unless they are installed already.

Yes sorry it is a typo I meant WWAN
I managed to get into the hidden section in the BIOS where you can see the WWAN but it only has two settings and they are two letters in two boxes and the are FF, I am trying to find out what to put in these boxes to activate the WWAN if at all possible, it would be great if I could

Do you already have the WWAN installed?

In my CF-53 with Gobi 2000, the WWAN code is 04

Only Panasonic branded WWAN cards work well, others are troublesome and/or need their own branded drivers.

    Thanks for your help
It is early days yet but it cannot be this easy, I entered 04 as the ID code for the WWAN in the "optional kit configuration" in the hidden section of the BIOS and it has seemed to have worked when I booted up the WWAN card was picked up as a Novatel and everything appeared in device manager, I have 3 WWAN cards so I will be experimenting. I have attached some screen shots

I am 99% the way there, I have all the WWAN card stuff showing up in device manager and in the BIOS as enabled, I installed Panasonic VZAccess but there is something wrong it will not pick up the WWAN card it showed it as switched off, so I downloaded the Mobillink drivers from Panasonic and they seem to work the SIM card and network has been picked up but have not connected yet but I think this is just setting problem.

Does anyone know what the proper WWAN card a CF 52SLCBUFG MK4 should have, it would be nice to have the proper one. As I think this is from an earlier model

It depends on your card. What type of WWAN card do you have in there?

I have a Novatel Mobillink PCIe card that I bought from ebay, I know although this works it is from an older model so I want to find out the best and most up to date one that I could install I am looking at Ericsson F5521GW and HuaWei EM820U as I have found machines with these installed.

Nothing complicated, I entered 04 in the BIOS and then Windows 7 picked up and installed 90% and then I ran DriverTtuner that did the rest

You need 5 posts in order to get PM's
Suggest a post or two to introduce yourself and your Toughbook..Once you can PM, you never know what may pop in...

I don't think any of the WLAN settings are on the alt config page.

It has been a LONG week and I am cranky......
and also VERY tired of giving the same answer every other day to people who can't or won't use SEARCH.

Upper right corner of this page is a SEARCH box...
Type "Optional kit password" in that search box
    Press ENTER key.
Read first thread in those results..
The answer will magically appear on your screen....
The password is the same for all models....

Sorry...It's been a BAD week..Dealt with people all week who put ZERO effort into a project and expect me to rescue them...

    Hi Shawn,
I didn't mean to offend you. I've been searching for the past 2 days and have struggled to find anything helpful hence my previous post.

I feel you pain on having to rescue people. I work in an environment where I'm constantly rescuing people only for them to then take the credit for the work.

Many thanks for your reply it's greatly appreciated.
