Finally decided to move on from my CF 52S mk4.
    Win7 64 bit on a 960gb SSD.

Downloaded the driver bundle ahead of time.
Direct swapped the caddy and SSD. Let win7 adjust, rebooted and ran the driver bundle.

After all was good with win7 and no yellow flags, I swapped out the Intel 6235 for the Azurewave CE123 H from the mk4.

Finally moving up to multiple usb 3 ports.
i5 gen 3 processor and ATI 7750 GPU.

Figure I will clean up the mk4 and sell it.
    Probably worth 4-5 hundred.

    Hundred cents that is.

Going to try new ATI drivers for the HD 7750M downloaded direct from ATI

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-19-7-2

    Installed fine, runs fine.

Oddity is that before I updated the Win experience index for the graphics was 7.2
After the update is is 7.0

The newer AMD settings app has a lot of info and tweaks available.

I had one of those before, if you get a desktop dock for it it will have a displayport 1.2 port that is good for 4k 60hz or can be split in multiple(4x) 1920x1080 streams. It's a real pass-through, not one of the fake usb ones.

I actually already have a dock for it.
I need to check what version the dock is.

I know the dock for the MK1 and 2 are the same but would not fit my MK4. That dock you have Shawn, did it fit the MK4?

I don't know if I ever tried it on the mk4.
The mk5 fits fine though. I just tried it a little while ago.

Found this in an old post by Mklym

If you have a CF-52 with a dedicated video card get the VEB522 as it has a Display port and VGA. The VEB521 has only VGA and is for models with Intel onboard graphics.

Interesting 2nd battery info for a CF 52
    ======================================================

This Panasonic ToughBook brand laptop battery CF-VZSU1431U provides a secondary battery by inserting it in place of your CD player.

The secondary battery does not fit all CF-31 or CF-52 Models.
This media Bay Battery is for the ToughBook 31 MK1 i3 units. Also fits the CF-52 P8400 i3 MK2 and MK3. Not Compatible with i5-Discrete models or CF-31 models with i5 2.53 Ghz or i5 2.60 Ghz processors.
