Can you disable it?
How?
My CF 53 Mk1 always delays boot while it warms up.
It has a SSDAND no drive heater.
Warm up time is not really needed.

Mine does the "warming up" delay if I leave it in the truck overnight.
If it got below 32 degrees (approximately), I will get that message and have to wait before it boots.
Stick yours in the freezer for 4 hours or so and then boot it. -

Done that with my CF-19 last year. So guess it does not matter if you have the hdd heater in it or not.
-
Does not matter.
No HDD heater installed in my CF 53. -
I don't know how to disable this option, but it's better to use a heater in these conditions.
Samsung 850 Evo specs:

I am wondering where the sensor is located.
Maybe it reads something directly off the drive. -
It's easy to test - remove the drive (with of without caddy) and check if there is a delay
)
I think the motherboard sensor is being used.Shawn likes this. -
I can pull the hard drive and test. That is a good place to start.
Very possible that it is the motherboard sensor.
But what is warming the system and that sensor up?
When this is in delay mode and "warming up" It shows the actual temperature on the LCD as it rises.
I will try to remember to grab a photo of this screen and post it. -
I thought it just counts 20 seconds and turns on, but displaying temperature is cool. Especially cool because LCDs don't like low temperatures too

It shows the actual temperature of something. I am just not sure of what or how it warms it.
Maybe a group of squirrels have a campfire inside the CF53. -
It's a chinese copy of CF-53. With LCD thermometer and coffee machine.
