Is it possible to install an internal GPS and antenna in a 72? I've read the "how to" posts for the 28 / 29 and was hoping the same could be done in the 72. Mine also has the factory wifi antenna on the top right of the lcd so the GPS antenna would have to go on the left?

Just like the CF-28 the CF-72 could be ordered with a Cisco mini pci WIFI card utilizing a retractable whip antenna that looks like the CDPD antenna but is tuned for wifi. So your statement above may or may not be accurate.

Is there an optional port inside the unit, If so provide me a service manual, I mean the schematic and I can help you out with this.

My 72 came with an internal cisco wifi card from the factory so the antenna is tunned to the wifi spectrum, not cell.

I read the 28 utilizes a daughter board for the GPS install but I'm not sure if the 72 has a daughter board or some other configuration that would work. Still searching...
