A while back, I found an article or ad that listed the models of Toughbooks that were hardened against EMP. It referred to a Mil Std 4something...
For the life of me, I have lost it somewhere, and have not been able to relocate.
Can anyone here help?
TIA,
Brian

Found this tidbit:
OK, I found this on the web that posibly eludes to Mil spec MIL-STD-810F is EMP hardened.

I just downloaded the PDF of MIL-STD-810E & it's 34MB & 461 pages. I'll see what I find even though it's a previous standard than what my CF-30 is (rev F).
I think that I remember reading that the CF series toughbooks are MIL-STD-461x as well which is the MIL standard for electromagnetic interference characteristics. I'll do some more research & let you know.

oooooohhh !
that would be like dropping a weasel in yer knickers !
either that or it would make rube goldberg proud .
yeah , it would be interesting to find out how much energy (EMP) it takes to ruin a toughbook .
the normal "interference" numbers do not mean much in this case . -
Don't know how much EMP it takes, but one rube with a screwdriver can do it short time.
ADOR likes this. -
Thanks Shawn.

This is ringing a lot of bells.
Appreciate the help, and will look forward to any further. -
