This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    If you have a 17 or 34 and are stumped by the "won't boot usb" bios issue, then this should solve your problem. If you don't have an external 2.5" drive enclosure, then you'll have to get one (or something similar). I didn't come up with this by any means, just happened to find it. I am currently loading a copy of XP on a 17 as I am writing this, so it's been tested and it works. Hopes this helps somebody.
