    Hi,
I have a CF-17 that generally works well... The battery was holding a good charge (~1 hour)... then one day the battery just gave up. The machine works fine on AC, but if I pull the plug it dies instantly.

Any suggestions? It doesn't seem like the battery, since it went from 1-hour charge to zilch overnight.

    thanks!

Your battery is dead, need a replacement. Your only source to power the unit by AC adapter of course it will be dead instantly when you pull the power plug coz that is the only source to power the unit.

I'm not clear how the battery went that dead so fast. In every other laptop I've had, I could tell the battery was wearing out because it would start holding less of a charge. This went from running the computer for an hour to no charge. It makes me wonder if the charging circuit failed.

Is the LED light turn on to orange then when fully charged it must be green. When it is dead, you will see it flashes red. Anyway, you can also use a battery from CF-m34.
