    Hi All,

I just got a CF-18NH2ZBBM off of eBay but it seems to have an issue. It will not charge the battery, I have a good battery (from my other 18) and when I plug the new 18 in the charging light stays orange for a minute or so then starts to blink red. If I remove the battery it keeps blinking red. If I put it back it turns orange for a minute again, then goes blinking red. In windows it says "battery XX% charged, not charging" It will run off of the battery as well as the ac, but it will not charge the battery. The battery does charge in the other machine. I don't see any bent pins on the charging connection. Any ideas for a fix, or should I try to return it (it was sold as working)

Yah they have that power pcb that is separate from the mobo. Check connections. It's like working on a watch to me. Then see if the plug/connection in the mobo or whatever is tight. Maybe a cold solder joint.
From your description I lean toward the plug.

Go into BIOS. Tab over to "Main" then arrow down to Environment. Make this setting "Normal Temperature"

Already tried, I usually set it to High (for Arizona) but I tried all settings to no avail...

I dug a little deeper into the forum and it appears that the cf-18's are known for this type of issue and have asked the seller for a refund/replacement. (I'm not a good soldererer)
