    Hello,

I have here is a CF-18 notebook; I've replace two screen thinking that it’s bad. Two of the new screens are dim down; I even try replacing the inverter but it gives me the same result.

I read somewhere in the form here said that the fuse on the logic board is bad. Anyone by chance know where can I locate the fuse?

Look on the Mbo. beside the backligting and ts connector. There is rectangular shape surface mount fuse that mark F4 about 2mm in size. From other model it looks to be in light green color other has a black color. Its a very tinie tiny that you need to magnify. Use a simple tool on testing this one, a 5buck VOM can help you.

Did you plug and un-plug a few times to clear any corrosion off of the plug? This worked for me on a 29 the other day. But I see where you used more than one screen. FWIW.

You can also use an eraser to gently rub off oxidation off cable and RAM pins. Should also tell folks to be GENTLE with plugs and clips too. :D
