    I purchased a PCMCIA bluetooth card (with an inbuilt antenna (does not stick out of slot) for my CF-18 MKII.

    The card works fine with both my bluetooth mice (MS Notebook 5000, Stowaway mini) however it won't work with bluetooth audio.

    I have tried 3 items:
    * Jawbone Prime
    * Plantronics 900
    * Blueant Micro

    The headsets paired ok in XP, however it does not have any audio services. Skype wont work and you cannot select it under Control Panel --> Sounds.

    There is no Bluetooth driver that came with the PCMCIA card, XP SP3 automatically installed default bluetooth drivers.

    Am I missing something here? Are there any other type of drivers available?

    You can search for updated drivers on the web... But it may not support it. The Internet has been flooded with a bunch of flush-fit BT cards.. Some are good... Some are bad...

    What brand is it?

    I'll search of the driver if I know what the hardware is =/

    I suspect it does not support A2DP.

    Is there a bluetooth PCMCIA brand that is flush fit and is known to support all the latest BT headset protocols?

    I don't think the standard XP driver does support headsets etc. You may need something like the Bluesoleil software for the more advanced features. At least this works great with my cheap AKE "inside hide antenna" type of card.

    But the mentioned software has a problem; it has some issues with MS notebook 5000 mouse. If you forget to disconnect it before suspending the computer, the computer locks...

    You can get a trail version to see if it works for your card:

    Thats correct Michiel, it turns out the Bluesoleil software works very well with my Jawbone Prime BT headset. Only problem now is, once you close the door, signal strength is so diminished its less than 1 foot.

    Looks like I have to rip apart the antenna assembly and hook it up to the proper antenna on the sides of the TFT screens.

    Yup. I got the same problem. Connecting the antenna of the cardbus card to the internal antenna of the CF-18 is still on my todo list. In a couple of weeks I hope to receive an OEM gps. So when the CF-18 is open, I hope to get it fixed....
