I have a CF-18 DHAMBKM touchscreen version. I have installed Win 7 following the excellent thread in this forum, and it worked out quite well. However, I can't get the touch screen to work properly.

I suspect this might be due to the fact that the CF-18 Win 7 thread assumes that the CF-18 is a digitizer version - and NOT a touch screen version.

I therefore tried to install the CF-19 K/L touchscreen driver, unfortunately to no avail.

My touchscreen hardware IS working. However, it is only in the lower left corner of the touchscreen that it behaves properly. When pressing somewhere on the middle of the screen, the touchscreen "senses" a pressure on the low end of the screen. The stylus pen work the same way; the CF-18 assumes that the pressure has been put somewhere below the visible screen.

When trying to calibrate, the touchscreen acknowledges pressure against it, but doesn't calibrate at all. When pressing the enter key, I get the "Parameter error. Please input, again" error message.

Can anybody please help me on this? I don't want to brick my CF-18.

It could be dirt betewwn the touchscreen and the casing you could get a card folded in 2 and run it along the side were the pointer stays.

the other thing is didit work ok with windows XP when it was on it.

If your touch screen behaves the same with Win XP, this sounds like a touch panel hardware failure. Unfortunately it is fairly common in CF-18 and early CF-19 models. Member Sadlmkr may be able to help.

    Thank you for your help.

I tried to set up the Fujitsu driver, but it simply returned "The installation isn't complete". It didn't change anything. When I tried to install the driver through Device Manager Add legacy hardware and looking up the fidmous.inf file, I got an error message warning that the driver is not designed for 32-bit systems...

I am quite sure that everything worked well under Win XP. I've spent some time now installing Win 7, and I really don't look forward to reinstalling Win XP...

If you have a spre hard disk you could swap it and load Win XP on it the you still have the one with Win 7 on it as well.

That way you dont have to load Win 7 all over agian
