    Hi, all
I'm having some issues with my toughbook after installing a GPS chip and antenna.
When I installed the GPS chip, everything worked well. I started it up and tested it with the bottom cover not screwed down, because I didn't want to have to unscrew everything should there be a problem.
There wasn't. I got everything all sorted out, and then I secured the bottom panel.
    Then things got funky.
On reboot, at the Windows login page, the cursor arrow started jumping all over the screen. After shutdown, I removed the bottom cover again. Reboot, and the GPS and computer worked fine.
The problem seems to only come about when I tighten the bottom cover screws. The instructions hinted there was a specific sequence to tighten the bottom cover screws in the service manual. Does anyone have the sequence?
    Thanks

There is no dependance - any sequence.
GPS doesn't work with bottom panel because your antenna doesn't work. IMHO.

    Thanks, Tomcat.
The Panasonic website has the GPS patch, but it does not have one that works for a CF-18 B. Teh earliest version Panasonic has it for is the CF-18 D.
Anyone know how to get around this?
    Thanks again.

If a patch is not available at any of the many download sites you can use winrar to extract the D version and try that
