    So....
I understand that heartland will sell these. But they have to have the part number first.

    Anyone confirm or deny?

If they do, and they do need the p/n, does anyone have the correct one for the Mk. II (CF-18DDAZAMM)??

Anyone have any idea of what its' going to cost?

I'm done trying to force feed Tablet PC 05 into that thing. Regular XP Pro likes my legit key, Tablet does not. When I try to reload drivers afterward, the drivers refuse to unpack (this machine does NOT support). The magic of discovery is over - I just want to throw a couple of disks in there, get on highspeed and update / validate everything, and then actually use it for something besides a conversation piece....

    Thanks!

DFQX-------- is the part # for the disks
You have to fill in the numbers/letters after the first 4 that I supplied
Look on the coa on the bottom of your cf18, under the word Panasonic
    The number is listed there

    well,

so I call Heartland. No, they need their special internal number, but she thinks she can figure it out from the model number. Gonna cost 29.95. No problem. Oh, and 30 dollars shipping. Whatever, I don't care, just send the disks to me.

She says she has to call somewhere, because its' not in her system. A couple hours later, she leaves me a voice mail saying that the disk for the Mk. II is NLA. Too old.

I think I may poke around the pana sites, and see if there's not an email somewhere so I can ask them.

    Any other ideas?

I do not know of any sources for the tablet pc restore disk for your mk2
    Very rare

Reinstall windows + all the drivers would be the only way

Panasonic only issues recovery discs with the Toughbook upon manufacturing. Other than doing as Tomcat57 suggested and continue to try reinstalling Microsoft Windows, and using the drivers provided by Panasonic's website I would see if you can get a restore disk via eBay if Heartland Services doesn't have them available.

Yeah, that's a pain in the . Look at the number of threads here specifically attributed to a driver issue. I load computers on a regular basis, I've never had a single one, including manufacturer-specific (like, built into equipment), that told me I couldn't load the driver. (shrugs)

Welcome to the forum! ....Now, sell me a set of disks. :)
