Hi all gurus and other nice people,

I got a good deal on a used CF-18KHHZBLS with 12 months guarantee but found out that the company went bust just after I got my presious.

It was working fine and I installed some GPS software and so. One day the touchscreen stopped working. I tried lots of things including update driver. It worked once but when I ran calibration it stopped half way.
I have windows XP Sp3 installed.

Question: Is there a way to make it work?

I searched this forum an found that there is a Touchscreen kit. Do I need that? In that case. Where can I get it?

    Appreciate all help

    Greetings from cold Sweden

First you want to make sure it is enabled in the bios. Hit F2 when booting and check to make sure.

Next is the mouse going crazy around the screen or is the touchscreen just not working?

When you try to calibrate what happens? Does it start to calibrate then just stop or what happens?

You can also try to clean around the screen with some canned air. Also you can take a tooth pick and hit it with a hammer to make it flat then run it around the edge of the screen to clean out any stuff that is stuck in there.

    Lady in Red,
James wants you to hit the toothpick with the hammer, not the screen!

LoL, Lady..n..d. I do beleive that there is a device conflict on the system. Try to disable other device on the bios and then calibrate the touchscreen. Let see what happen.

P.S. I have to pause for a while while I have a lucky no. all 7

A sense of humor, likes mud, toughbooks, and Land Rovers. I think I'm in love! But then again, I'm old, married, do wear overalls most of the time, and like old Jeeps and slick rock more than mud and new Land Rovers so can we at least get to know our new CF-18s together? ;)
