    A word of warning:

You REALLY need to make it clear in your auction text that the caddy is NOT included; you're going to get some bozo posting negative feedback cuz all they looked at was the first photo.

Any discount for the Forum members? I would buy one to test. Regards, Voytek.

    Added to the listing, thanks.

I know there are alot of bozo's out there, sold 4 HD's untested/parts repair last week. Neutral feedback from the buyer cus they didn't work. I get so frustrated by people sometimes.

The $50 is about as low as I can build them for. The standard adapter costs me $10 so thats only $40 for several hours of reworking/testing.

The reason for that is simple; every smeghead and his smeghead grandmother take all their defective HDDs (and RAM, and CPUs and Power Supplies and... well, you name it) and sells them on fleaBay as "untested-for parts or repair".

This practice is so pervasive that it is common knowledge on eBay that "Untested, sold as-is for parts or repair" really means "I tested it, it's junk; but instead of throwing it in the dumpster I have to pay for I'm going to sell it on fleaBay to some hopeful fool, usually with enough markup on the shipping to make me more money than a working HDD (or whatever) would".

This means that the few honest people who are selling untested pulls get lumped in with those smegheads; there really is no defense against it except to cull your junk and sell only tested product.

I hear ya. These drives were not tested by me and didn't want to waste my time doing that either. You would think hat if you state they are NOT TESTED and I even said they may all be bad that people wouldn't but I guess there's always those that do.

There's alot of people that buy used drives to use for Data-Recovery parts.

As the drives get harder to find it's nice to have certain parts on hand.
