    Hi all

Apologies if this has been answered a hundred times before. I've tried searching the forums/net but have drawn a blank.

My keyboard has failed (half of the keys don't work, in Windows or the BIOS). I've got a second hand keyboard but I'm not entirely sure how to swap it over?

I've removed the four screws holding down the two plates at the top edge, but the board does not peel away.

I know it's stuck down with double-sided tape, but it feels like there's something more substantial holding it in place.

    Any help is muchly appreciated

    Cheers

    Ben

Nope, its the tape. You need something thin and flexible, gently pry it up, avoiding the area just above the touch pad where the cables are.

Thanks Cap, I'm quite new to this and really didn't fancy snapping anything!

    Cheers again
