Hello all, there is a guy on ebay selling CF-18KHHQXBA and he can't tell me what sort of WWAN card it has, all he says is it's a Novatel Wireless Expedite HSDPA , but I really need mor information so I can work out if it's tri-band, Quad-band etc to see if I can use it with my carrier, is there someone here with some contacts who can give me more information??
I'm guessing it's a custom jobbie for a telco here, and if it's the right telco I can buy it!
The problem here is some telcos use 900/2100Mhz, others use 850/2100, others use 900/1800!!!

    Cheers all,
    Fraser

    Hi Fraser,
I have the same in my CF-19 (MK1), and although I can't answer your question , there is an update link to the Novatel website of Novatel Wireless which may be of some help. Mine works OK with 3 network.
    Regards
    Keith

Models ending in an A are configured (almost always) for Australia not the UK (which ends in E). However as KIA are obviously a large international corporation, the units may of been purchased through Europe and then destined for an Australian office.

I kinda figured the A meant Aussie but the Model number spreadsheet I have listed it as Europe so that's what I posted.

There's quite often a difference between where the unit if purchased/configured at and the region it is configured for which is where I guess the mismatch in this model has occured.

What is the model number sheet you have?

Maninblack - as for you, I have no idea what the module is exactly. The WWAN card used is usually a locally made Panasonic decision (so as to consider the local network technologies), so if I were you I'd find the local Panasonic service centre or another Aussie to check with, as most of us here are either in North America or Europe.

    Model_number_List-1.xls
It's an xls spreadsheet I found on the net. I actually have several versions.

At the bottom of the page it has many tabs of different models.
    CF-30 thru CF-Y5.
The files are about 2.5 mb in size.
