Are there any known issues with the ethernet port on the cf-19's?

I remember that it worked fine with Windows XP, but I upgraded it to W7 and haven't needed it. Started trying to use it lately, and it doesn't see that a cat5 is plugged in. Ive pulled the bottom off and removed the jack, and it looks good, and the connection on the board is solid. No broken pins on the inside of the jack either.

Windows 7 is showing that the driver is good and up to date, but I went ahead and forced it to use the driver for Vista. Still not working.

    Any thoughts?

What does Device Manager tell you? If it shows no issues I would look for a dirty connection. Maybe swab it out with a q-tip and alcohol.

W7 has always found every Ethernet port on every laptop I have ever loaded it on.

Ill give that a shot and let W7 put the newer driver back in.
