Hello
On a CF-19 CHBAXBM (Mk 1, it seems), upgraded to Windows 7, after several month of correct working, now, 9 times out of ten, the lower right button "back to destop" stays lit, as if the Windows+D button was sticked pushed. When the cursor is moved somewhere else, the cursor comes back to the lower right within seconds, making the device hardly operable. I've tried a lot of things (updating Windows, looking for viruses or malwares, checking the drivers, disabling Aero, etc.) with no success. Following db04p and axionomical in page 19 of the HOWTO: Install Windows 7 on a CF-18 mk1, I could suspect the hardware of the touchscreen, but I'm troubled by the fact that the problem does not occur in safe mode, which seems to mean that the problem comes from the software. How could I check? Has anyone have the same problem, or have an idea about the cause? I've spent hours on it and i'am out of ideas, help would be welcome. Thanks in advance.
Jacsimo.

Thanks for this quick answer. That was my favorite assumption, but I'm surprised that all the functions of the touchscreen work perfectly without the drivers, "back to desktop" function included. I'll diassemble the lid, test and keep you informed.

Slide a folded (corner) of adhesive tape around the touch PAD bezel. It might be a stray cookie crumb.
Can you disable touchpad in bios? As a test to eliminate the pad as the suspect. -
Thanks for your answers.
For toughasnails: If i'm not mistaken, the touchscreen has only one link with the machine. The problem remains when this link is disconnected, this should eliminate the screen hardware failure.
For Sadlmkr: the touchpad can be disabled in the bios. The problem remains when the touchpad is disabled, this should eliminate the touchpad hardware failure as well.
Complementary information: the problem is not linked to the taskbar, it doesn't follow it when the taskbar position is changed (that is to say the "back to desktop" command is no more activated), but the cursor goes on desappearing after a few seconds from where is is moved (probably to the right lower corner, but difficult to see when it does not illuminate the "back to desktop" command).
What then?
Best regards.

reinstall video drivers then front button drivers..
only use drivers from panasonic -
Thanks Shawn, that's surely a wise advice.
I've replaced Intel 8.14.10.1930 automatically installed by the Intel update manager, by 7.14.10.1244 that is on the cf-19 page of Panasonic drivers, reloaded hkdriver, hkapendix and hksettings from the same origin, but i've a problem with hotkeyplus, i've a BSOD when i try to uninstall or reinstall the driver, with a stop 0xC2 (0x7, 0x109B, 0x0, and 0x88424C30), Windows didn't start and i had to perform a repair. The driver installed is Matsushita 1.1.10.0 of 01/16/2005, which seems the correct one, properties say it works properly, but the front "tablet" buttons don't work at all. A hardware problem on these buttons? or what else?Last edited by a moderator: Sep 12, 2015 -
Two complementary infos for those who take time to try to help, thanks to them:
1) The self-test (one of the first actions I undertook) revealed nothing.
2) I discover that the "hotkey driver for Panasonic" device (ACPI\MAT0019), with the Panasonic 10.0.10.1 driver from the cf-19 page of the Panasonic divers, says on the bottom of the window "detail of the driver": "the driver of this device has not been started because it can cause the instability of your computer".
Probably not independent of the "screen" problem, but how? -
I know others have had button issues with win7 on a mk1...

Does it have GPS?
