I'm new to the toughbook side of laptops, but I'm hooked! I've recently read and used the threads here to upgrade a CF-18KDHMBVM to windows 7 ultimate and running flawlessly, everthing working! Thanks rcx, Slammer111,Toyo, David O, and all the posters of the "HOWTO: Install Windows 7 on a CF-18 mk1 Digitizer" thread.
I also have a CF19-CHGC4BM in which I've atempted the same. Being that it is newer specs and some of my own upgrades...memory and hard drive only, really. I figured it would be about as painless. well all has went well except for two issues. One as per thread, no sound. I've exausted everything here and a few other places found on google to read and try. This is my BIG issue. The second is the front tablet buttons, which aren't as big a deal but would be nice. If anyone would have new insight or a step by step instuct to try I would be GREATLY appreciative! Thanks ahead of time for any and all input!

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook Forum
In device manager does it show working or not, have you tried any head phones. The sound never gave me any problems BUT the front buttons ...well that is another thing. I just gave up trying to get them to work.I have installed W7 well over a dozen times on my 19C

On my CF-19C W7 install, sound and everything basically worked right out of the box, except "possibly" those tablet buttons. I had to install the Panasonic hotkey drivers (of course) for the FN key setup.

My screen dimmer buttons (on the front panel) work fine as does the lock button (SO HANDY that one is!). But I can't find any information on the three middle keys. Can somebody explain their function? And perhaps a link to, or a copy of, a proper user's manual for the CF-19C6GAXVM? I would love a full service manual too... The "Operating Instructions" manual I found is a mostly useless, generic 40 page deal for the CF-19 series. It shows the buttons, but no further information.
