I need to flash/update the BIOS so I need the BIOS file form the
    AMI bios CF-19 MK3.

If you are able to copy your BIOS and send it to me that would
really help me out. There are several BIOS copy/backup softwares
    around.

No luck with the bios flash. None of the utilities seem to work. Made my
usb stick dos bootable with the rom file but the utilities don't even see the
original bios file??? I tried the AMI utilities as wel but no luck.

Does anyone have an idea as to what I can do?

Out of curiosity, why do you need to flash the BIOS?

Your's is the EXACT same machine... the last digit of "E" instead of "M" means European model... That's all

Actually "E" is for English (UK) not European. There isn't one European model, rather about 15 different European models for all the different languages, power cords, etc.

I bought my CF19 in germany but is has the model number CF19KHRAXAE.
The "E" tells me it is an UK model or ?? That maybe is the explanation for the strange keyboard layout, but I'm now used to it and like to work with this fine little machine.

Yep - regardless of the fact you bought it in Germany, the E means it is a UK model (so would of originally shipped with English Windows installed, English keyboard fitted and a UK power plug). If you're American, then yes, the keyboard is slightly different :)

" and @ are swapped I think, Shift-3 does £, \ is in a different location. And maybe a few other differences.

Indeed - pretty much. A few technical notes:
[E] is UK, but covers Ireland as well unsurprisingly.
stands for Sweden, but actually covers the entire Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland) as they all use a few runic letters in conjuction with the standard latin letters. Maybe Finland as well, as I *think* they use the same letters despite having a markedly different language to the rest of the Nordics.

I think is Iberia generally and so does Spain and Portugal.
[2] doesn't itself really mean UK, it's designates a specific customer model number which is probably in the UK.

Good top know; however, my source was from the Panasonic Toughbook Service Manuals.

Nevertheless, I've added your info to their info in my reference database. :)

Would be nice to be able to get it sorted myself.

It's just frustrating this new EFI bios. Got the bios file but can't flash it
because there seems to be a special utility to do it. Nothing I have tried
    has worked :(

The newest panasonic bios files I have seen are flashed from windows
The cf-30mk1 and cf19 mk1 files that I have used execute without any hassle
Try using winRAR to unpack the bios file
The worst case is you get "this machine does not support" message

Ok I will try a few more things. Just got a new MK3 in so I can at least use that
to instal a HD to get windows up and running on the other MK3. My bios file is a .rom file to be specific V3.00L19.rom

Thankyou for your offer of help, I am still trying to find out why the bios will not flash. I think it may be due to being extracted with 1 tool then re-flashed with another. I wonder if a back-up taken with afudos would work but all I get when I try to back it up is "bios is protected" and I am not good with dos, so am waiting for help how to go round the protection.
