Hi to all, I have many MK3 pc's on my work and many of them with the same problem - when you insert the power cable (or battery) the pc turns on (by itself; nothing appears on the screen) and after a few seconds shuts down.
The problem is with the motherboard for sure, but I can't find the reason (the bad chip), so if any one had the same problem please respond :)

Hmm. The problem is not the PC turning on, but shutting down immediately.
Try to remove/change RAM (beginning from the external module). I had this problem a week ago with external 2GB stick.
Power on AC has been enabled too, but no problems with that till installation of additional RAM :)

Well as for the bios, I can't get into it because the pc just powers on and off without even showing the Panasonic blue screen at the start (tried to change the bios chip - didn't help).
As for the RAM also tried to change several sticks - didn't help.
    Other suggestions? :)

Take all out the ad on hardware like the Wi-Fi card, docking port or look on the PCMCIA and on Express card slot. It may push hard and damaged the base port on the motherboard. That trouble is a symptom of something shorted on mobo.

Yes there's definitely something shorted, I connected only the "on/off circle" and the DC, just can't find what.
