    Hi guys,
    I'll be honest, i'm a toughbook virgin
I bought à CF-19 MK5, from factory it was Win7 32bit, I got the Win7-64bit recovery disks from panasonic, the installation did go very well.

    BUT

I'm really disappointed with the performance of the system, it seem to be slower than i expected from an i5 processor and 4Gb of RAM.

Did you already heard about problems related 64bits ?

    thanks.

Did you say you have a MK5??? If so, you are the FIRST person on here that has this animal. Confirm that it's a 2.5GHz CPU yes?

    If it's a 1.2GHz CPU then it's an MK4.

Personally I use 32 BIT os and have never had a problem with them!

Additionally, I've sold LOTS of 4GB RAM/2.53GHz i5/64 bit Windows 7 Professional CF-31's to customers and NO ONE has complained about performance yet!

    Thanks

The MK 5 is really fast. There is a noticeable difference in speed compared to the MK 4.

Even MK2 in my config is really fast ;)
Maybe user wants game performance - will have to change toughbook for something with Nvidia graphics card :)

Hmmmmm. I had read that they just had the spec stuff on the MK V. I have a Mk IV, with win 7 Ult 64 bit and find it extremely fast on everything I do, except the Stop error I provided in another thread. So far, getting rid of NAV 2011 has had some impact..... Don't know what else to do until thread is responded to..... Toughbook's RULE!!!
