I have a CF-19 that I will be adding a couple of items to.
I am going to add a fingerprint scanner, GPS and Emissive keyboard. I am also possibly thinking I may want to add WWAN since I will be putting it in a truck.
My first question is if I order a recovery/restore disk from Heartland, will it cover the proposed added items? i.e. If I give them my serial number off the bottom of the PC, are the recovery disks so specific that it won't have the proper drivers on it for my added GPS and fingerprint or will it cover all options in my series of CF-19?
BTW, its CF-19 with 8GB Ram, MK-5 and dual touch digitizer. I have a Samsung EVO SSD on order for it as well.
On the subject of WWAN, I have seen a lot of cards on fleabay. I can't seem to find the antenna's though. Is there something else or different I should be looking for?
I would like to get all my upgrades done and reinstall one time. (I'm sure that will never happen) I have done a few CF-30 and CF-31's but I have never added to their original configuration before.

WWAN antennas are already installed on ALL CF 19's
WWAN software is separate from Recovery DVD's
I think GPS and fingerprint drivers are included.
Emmisive keyboard does not need any drivers.
Recovery disks usually cover the entire model/mk/and OS combination. They don't get more hardware specific.
For example
CF 19 Mk6 Windows 7-64bit...
They will ask for a full model number, but the disk will be like the example.Last edited: Mar 4, 2017 -
Thanks Shawn!
I suppose I just need to get a WWAN card for the unit then. I looked at the cf-19 FAQ but didn't see anything listed for as new as the MK-5. Any suggestions on a proper card for a mk-5 US resident? -
Shawn beat me to it. Pull one or both covers on sides of upper case and read the fine print on the antennas. One is main and one is aux...note the colors of the insulation for future reference.
