Hi Guys,
I recently aquired a CF-19 with a touchscreen and 3G Modem but the hard fdrive was bust. I have installed a new copy of Vista but my touch screen is not calibrated and Vista won't recognise it and my 3G HSDPA modem is nowhere to be found according to windows. Also, none of the front buttons work, basically I'm stuck with a notebook, not a toughbook!?!
Could anyone please help? I think I need all drivers, Ihave tried Panasonic and registered with their Toughbook site but drivers are vague and limited.
Thanks in advance!
Jay.

Jay,
I have windows vista business on my cf-19 with everything working perfect.
I downloaded all the drivers and the required bios update that you need to run vista from here.
https://eww.pavc.panasonic.co.jp/pc/cgi-bin/itn/toughbook/dl01.cgi
I dont have a vista restore disk unfortunately, only the windows xp pro Panasonic dvd.
Whats your model # ?

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the response, does this site have every single file needed?
I have been pulling my hair out, I will try that site when I get home.
My model number is - CF-19CHB23BE.
Would you be willing to send me a copy of the restore DVD if I paid all costs, I would be eternally greatful! No probs if can't!
Also, I have noticed the BIOS update but I don't have a USB Floppy Drive, is there another way that you know of, maybe usb pen drive?
Thanks again!

Newer model bios updates are done from a windows environment now.
No need to boot to a fdd.
The only update that you might not find on that site would be for your broadband card.
Those are generally found on regional Panasonic sites.
I live in Canada and mine are from Panasonic.ca
PM me your address and I will ship you out the wxp pro restore dvd for your touchscreen cf-19.

Can you help me out too?
I tried to PM you, but couldn't find the link.
I need a copy of restore disk specially for drivers. There are too many in website and I don't know which one to get.
Mine is CF-19 Vista, but need to go back to win XP for compatibility issue.
Thank you. -
Is it xp or vista coa?
The reason that I ask is that I have a cf-19 with a xp coa
The original restore dvd will only restore xp . as the software checks the model number before installing.
This has to do with licensing issues.
The exemption to that is I believe with mk-2 models that come with vista , downgrade able to xp
My vista install on my other hard drive for my cf-19 is a retail licensed business edition c/w coa
On the vista install, I had to download all the correct drivers from the Panasonic download site.
It takes time but you should be able to do that

I hope you happen to still check this post. I also have a CF-19 that is now courrupted and unsusable. I would like to reimage it but the system did not come with a recovery DVD. Would you be able to send me a copy or direct me to a place to get one?
I have a CF-19CHGCXBM
Thank you -
www.heartlandsi.com. You will need to go to their website and get their phone number. The online store does not work, but they are the only authorized Panasonic parts distributor in the US I believe. They will have your Recovery CD's.
-
They will have disks for all the current models
Alex -
When you buy recovery disks from heartland do you get the full document package that comes with a new unit? or just the disks?
-
I believe all you get are the disks, and a HUGE shipping bill...

( Thanks Zippy-man )
