Hey, I am currently playing away with windows 10 on my build. Everything seems to work pretty well, but I am having 2 issues.

The biggest one is trying adjust the screen brightness. If I use the front buttons to adjust the windows brightness OSD will show it changing and the screen brightness will change for a moment, but the panasonic brightness OSD doesn't change and the brightness reverts back to what it was.

A work-around from past experience with Windows 10 is: go to Settings (Gear icon)> System > Display and move slider manually instead of with hotkeys (F1 & F2).

    Thanks! Yeah this definitely works.

I just was curious if there was something I could remove to allow windows only to have control. Since it seems like the Panasonic brightness adjustment is preventing it to be cjachan from the front buttons.

I keep trying to search the forum, but I am not finding anything. I've searched windows 10 cf-19, windows 10 brightness cf-19 and a bunch of other iterations.

All I can find is to use the brightness slider inside windows 10, but nothing about the front buttons brightness control.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Doesn't deleting/renaming the hotkey appendix just disable all the front buttons?

I've also searched and another option given seems to be to install an older video driver. Tried that and just get a message telling me that minimum requirements are not met despite installing older software on a newer machine.

Might be worth a sticky please Admin to save all these cryptic answers whenever this brightness adjustment question is asked?

Since we are dealing with W10 I have moved these post to get better exposure. This is one of the bigger issues with W10 on Toughbooks so I figured it deserves its own thread

It does sound like a good idea but there are many other threads / post just as important as this one . This is why NBR has a limit on how many "Sticky" we can have and we are at our max now. This was the other reason why I moved these post

    Try this and report back
“This from a while back for a CF-19 but it seems that if you upgrade the video driver to the latest one from intel's site for the gpu in your model, then reboot, uninstall it and install the old original one it should clear up the problems. I explained it better in another thread. It seems some of the reg keys from the new one stay even after removal and help.”
