    Hi,

I have a lingering problem since installing Windows 7 (not using restore disk). The Fn-F1/Fn-F2 and external buttons adjust the screen brightness up and down (the on-screen icon appears), but the moment you stop, it snaps the brightness back to what is setup in Windows power profile. The only way to adjust brightness and have it stick is using the windows utility.

    Thanks!
    Jon

Check to make sure the Video Driver is the correct one from Panasonic for starters. Also make sure you have the Hotkey, Hotkey Application, New Misc etc installed as well.
The #1 fix "for me" is to make sure the Video Driver is correct.

Do some searching. There are tons of threads about this problem.

I have that same problem on the CF-30 using Windows 7.

Uninstalling the Appendix utility will fix the screen function, BUT it will also permanently mute the audio if you mute it once. It won't even do power switch beeps. Until you reinstall the Appendix utility. And the cycle continues.

If someone can solve this, it would be great!! I'm looking for a solution too!

This from a while back for a CF-19 but it seems that if you upgrade the video driver to the latest one from intel's site for the gpu in your model, then reboot, uninstall it and install the old original one it should clear up the problems. I explained it better in another thread. It seems some of the reg keys from the new one stay even after removal and help. sorry for the confusing post I am hopped up on pain pill after mouth surgery.

    Hi guys!
    Again I have a problem...
Just got interesting model - fully loaded CF19CJxxxx with WWAN, BT, GPS, backlit etc
Trying install win 7 - (same disc as I installed to CF-18's 6-7 different machines used wellknown local post - everything worked)
    But here I stucked...
Using Acronis with clean installed system I tried a lot of times from start when just 2 unknown devices appear - still nothing!!!
    Buttons and touchscreen doesn't work...
Touchscreen work, but 1 inch above and right - cannot adjust, calibration utility doesn't work. When it was XP everything worked just fine.
At the end Turned off all devices in BIOS - same result - NOTHING.
Installed last Video driver from intel too...

Help please  . I'm not dummy, just cannot find solution
