We have several CF-19 Toughbooks, and all crash sometimes in booting the kernel.
I tried kernel 3.4.54 , 3.5.4 and 3.10.1 but all have the same problem and crash at about the same place in the acpi part of the kernel afaics.

There is a warning in the syslog file :
    Jul 23 05:36:12 minos1 kernel: ACPI Warning: 0x0000f040-0x0000f05f SystemIO conflicts with Region \_SB_.PCI0.SBUS.SMBI 1 (20120320/utaddress-251)
Jul 23 05:36:12 minos1 kernel: ACPI: If an ACPI driver is available for this device, you should use it instead of the native driver

Is there an ACPI driver for linux and specially 3.5.4 kernel ?

    The CF-19 is a CF-191HAAFX4

Last news: kernel 3.4.0 crashes too

Welcome to the Panasonic Toughbook Forum

One thing I don't use is Linux but we have a few members that do use it. Post what version you are using so when they come on later today they can help you.
