Perhaps sleep will give me a simple answer... But at the moment sleep eludes me. I think my real issues is flailing around in W7, I have never used it before this install Saturday. I have been using VIsta on my CF-T7, but not sure that counts for much.

Anyways the issue is my BT device drops out, then wants to be re-paired each time. My software hates BT drop outs, so that already causes a bit of headache in a properly running enviroment...

For some reason W7 does not seem to be "remembering" my pairing code, is this normal? Then it "seems" like the BT com is getting bored or some such, and dropping the comm link. Baud settings are correct on both sides of the link. I am transmitting an RS232 serial link.

Asking in this forum as the portion of the equation that has changed, is the Toughbook model and OS. Everything was working fine without forgetting the pairing on my CF-T7. Mostly fine, I did have random bluescrens during com connection, causing me to upgrade to the CF-19.

The forgetting the pairing code seems to be a W7 issue. I can actually reprogram the dongle to remove the pairing code, but would kinda prefer to leave that as a last resort option. Again I did not have this issue under Vista. I put the pairing code in once and was done.

On the laptop side of things, it almost feels like the BT is going into a power save mode, and dropping out more often than it would in normal situations. AFAIK, the BT card inside my CF-19C6GAXVM is factory.

Are you using the "factory" bluetooth software from Panasonic?

No, I am just using whatever Windows 7 installed by default. Software and drivers. Should I change them out perhaps for Panasonic ones?

I see nothing specifically labeled Bluetooth via Panasonic "Driver Download Manager"??? In the Installation Procedures document (H-2007-0449) it gets a small mention under the Wireless Switch Utility.

I did have the Wireless Switch Utility installed. At the moment, I reloaded W7 to fix another issue. So I have a clean slate to play with. Undecided if I will clone the copy back, or start from scratch again.

Thanks Shawn! That bit will really help! Now to be sure, those say for mk3 and mk4... Can I use them on my CF-19C6GAXVM mk1? I am pretty sure you saw that above and the answer is yes, just want to be sure. I already have half my drivers broken on this from installing "proper" Panasonic Drivers and following their procedures...

When it comes to W7 on a MK1 Panny makes no drivers for it so we have to make do with one's from other MK's

I missed the mk1 part, but like Blair said, it won't matter for Bluetooth.

Well one of those three programs has something to do with the BIOS. I have not messed with my "stock" BIOS during this whole process. Looking at it did hint at it not being a standard BIOS. I am going to go and try to sort this out for sure right now.

Oh and the bluetooth programs are the same numbers when you change the OS type....

FINALLY the Bluetooth Stack Shawn mentioned above by Toshiba for Panasonic, works. Sorta. It installed but with "This program has a known compatibility problem..." blah blah. :p

I found THIS POST and it got me closer. Other than it is just a 30 day "trial" version. I was able to resolve that easily enough.

So now FINALLY after weeks of pounding on this, I am seeing the light! :D

HOPING I don't have the issues on the CF-19 with the Toshiba stack I have on my CF-T7. :(
