So I have a CF-19CDGCXVM that after it turns on it beeps twice and stops at the Phoenix TrustedCore(tm) NB screen and at the bottom it says "Press <F2> to Setup.

If you hit F2 it will go into the BIOS, if you hit F1 it will just continue and work fine (boot into windows etc etc).

Any way to make this so it doesn't "error out" at boot so that the user doesn't have to hit F1 to keep moving forward with system bootup????

I tried resetting the BIOS to default values and it didn't help. I also replaced the hard drive (since the old one was bad anyways) and re-imaged it. As I said, it does boot with the new drive in there.

    Thanks guys!

    BIOS: V1.00L13
    Embedded Controller: V1.00L11

    Thanks

I figured this out! It is a bad side USB port.

The side USB port is bad (rear works fine), which is what is causing it to hang up upon POST. I disabled the USB in the BIOS and it immediately fixed this issue. I noticed this when I had to boot from a USB CD and it would only work/boot from the CD when I plugged it in the rear USB port. There is a setting in the BIOS that makes it possible to disable the USB (it disables both USB ports).

I think YOU are the problem there Rob-o. When you put it in somebody elses hands that doesn't throw laptops against the wall, or explodes packing peanuts, it should work just fine! hahahahahahaha
