I had upgraded my CF19 to windows 10 smoothly with no problem. I did a refresh of windows 10 to clean all my personal data and now I have no sound whatsoever on a device ( speakers, Bluetooth headset etc) my touchpad didn’t work either but I managed to fix that by reading on this site. I’m showing Microsoft HD audio with current drivers but I know that can’t be right . Argh! Help!

. I have Bluetooth and sound from the jack now. Maybe the speaker below the screen never worked? Can’t remember . But there is only 150 hours on this thing so it should work... I’m gonna lose my mind... too old for this. The hot key works to turn the headphones on and off it’s just the main stupid speaker

Just a reminder to us all to un-mute sound before shutting down, especially if dual booting or changing the operating system.

I had a black screen issue one time that was similar. The computer ran out of battery while I was chasing sheep or something and when re-started there was the black screen. I think it was screensaver lockup of some kind. Eventually I cured it by following my own advise...see the red letters below.

The nvram issue is different...battery pull reset won't necessarily (very probably won't) fix it.

Hope you got it fixed o.k.
