I got a MINTY mk3 CF-19 touch in today and the screen is MUCH brighter than my MINTY mk1's and mk2's...

Do the mk3 and onwards have 1000 nits as apposed to 500 nits??

    Thanks

Daylight-readable (circular polarizer, anti-glare and anti-reflective) transmissive TFT (1,000 Nits)

    Here ya go.

Here's more: The CF19 now has a 1,000 nit LCD with circular polarization technology and anti-glare and anti-reflective screen treatments to enhance screen viewability, further improving in-field usability for mobile workers. This is big news as the older displays were in th 500 nits range. Battery life is said to be 40% longer (up to ten hours now. even though the faster replacement processor has the same 10 watt Thermal Design Power as the older chip).

The MK3 and above model has an LED backlight for your info thats why it is brighter than MK1 and 2 that uses CCFL tube.

I do have a complete LCD screen of CF-19 MK3.

Abit of topic but I am modding my 19 by swapping in a screen from one of my parts DRS x10 tablets. The screens in the DRS are the best I've ever come across, even in direct sunlight it's perfectly readable. They have a LED backlight and it's super bright. Also has a satin hardened glass front panel. This should make the ultimate CF-19 for outdoor use I think. Am waiting to get a Digitizer 19 as the 20 or so I have now are all Touch and the DRS screen is Digitzer.

I've got a few 18's that have brighter screens then some of my 19's but I think this has to do with wear one the backlight or inverter. Do notice that the Touch models are not as bright as the Digitizers but thats due to the Touch panel in front of the LCD.

I have an 18 I was working on doing the same. The furthest I got was that the
BIOS lists both Digitizer and TOuch-Screen. At this point I think it's a driver issue to get it working, but due to lack of time that project is on the shelf.

If you get it working let me know, you must have more free time then I do :D

You mean to say both are appear on the bios? As far as I know it will be an option on the bios whether you want to use a touchscreen or the digitizer. This is the one I've known and see on the cf-19MK3 with dual touch option.

I have both Digitizer and Touch-Screen enable and disssable options in my bios.
The problem I am stuck on now is driver related I think as I can get either working apart but not together and my touch-pad does not work. Don't have much time to sort it out right now as customer TB's come first.

Here is the progress. I also managed to install the ts panel into digitizer model and show up also on the bios with TS en/dis and digit en/dis. function but to my dismay the ts doesn't even move. I tried diferent drivers that I known, no luck. I then realized that the digit unit has lack of serial hardware(uart) thats why it doesn't work on it.

Now! I am looking for a donor mbo. ts model to harvest any component to ad on the digit model to make it dual touch or maybe a usb type TS

Doesn't the 19 already use a usb touchscreen or did you fit a serial touchscreen?

There is no diffrence between the two but on MK1, there is. The harness cable connector that plug in into the mbo. and at the same time the connector on the Mbo..
