Hi Thanks to the forum members getting my dock set up, I have a second issue.
CF-19 MK2 running XP sp 3 on a cf-web184bec vehicle dock, connected to a Panasonic Arbitrator SD video recorder system, via a crossover ethernet cable, when the cable is in the laptop it works fine, but when in the dock it takes ages for the image to appear then the image freezes or refreshes about once in 5 minutes,
the software is called panasonic "front end", I guess its to do with the fact the port replicator on the dock is a USB LAN, I've spent two days googling the problem, any thoughts?

Maybe just plug the LAN cable directly to the CF19? Its the simplest solution. Not very tidy though.

Odds are the dock usb is usb 1. Maybe 2 at best. Too slow to transfer live video stream very well.

Wonder if Win7 would do better?

I've managed a workaround... I bought a USB to LAN dongle and fitted it to one of the USB ports on the dock, it seems to work, connecting though the LAN port on the dock to my router as a test , the built in LAN managed only 5mbps but the dongle 55mbps so its not a usb port bottleneck.

    Out of curiosity.

Check the LAN port address direct on the CF 19 vs the address going through the dock..

If the dock has it's own lan card that is connected through a usb port, then that built in lan card must be failing.

Did you check the BIOS when the CF 19 is docked? Maybe there are additional settings that only show when docked.

Hi, I have one cf-19 but 3 docks they all have the same problem, I did check the bios the only dock related option was dock USB enable/disable. when docked on the network page a device pops up called "high speed USB ethernet adaptor".

    1.000mbit/s lan port on laptops
1.000mbit/s lan port on veb 19x docks
__100mbit/s lan port on veb 18x docks

I was wondering that. I was too stressed, busy, tired...to look it up.
