hello everyone, new to the forum.

    i have a toughbook CF-19CHB06BE.

i followed the guide on here about upgrading to windows 7. i have followed just about all of it except the audio driver and video driver. the audio wouldnt work when i changed the driver but works ok without any alterations. although the speaker is constantly making a slight hissing sound but i think that a hardware problem. the video i didnt do because it looks like a long process and as far as i can tell the display works fine.

my problem is this Misc Driver. ive tried downloading loads of them but im not too sure how to install/put them in the right folder.

i want to install the screen calibration and battery calibration but they wont because of this misc driver.

i have yet to check the SD card slot, and a few other bits but everything else seems to work ok so far.

also how long does the battery normally last. i was hoping it would be around 6 hours but its keeps telling me 6.30hours at full charge then 15minutes later 3hours.

    thanks

That battery needs to be calibrated... to calibrate hit control + f9 at boot up... Then it will give you an accurate reading. Also, how many cycles are on the battery?

The speaker buzzing I do think I'm 99% sure it is a hardware problem.

The Misc driver can be extraced via WinRAR into any folder on the desktop. From there you have to install it via Device Manager. (Just point the "driver search" to that folder which you just extracted it to on the desktop). The misc driver will show up as an "unknown device" in device manager.

the misc driver has updated!! thanks.

ive installed both calibration programs now.

the next question. i just tried to run the screen calibration and when its says choose an input (touchpad or digitizer) they are both greyed out. the screen does react to me pressing it, its just not accurate at all.

there are no other faults on device manager apart from the bluetooth adaptor, which i also want to sort out.

Since your model is a touchscreen model and NOT a digitizer you will have to use the calwin.exe program to calibrate the screen...
