So I got a parts cf-19 on the cheap, and though missing some parts and with issues, I got a HD and caddy elsewhere and it works great, except, no wifi.
I opened it up, maxed out the RAM, and upon running the model number, I think it listed some form of GPS. No antenna visable and a card in the appropriate spot, but as this is my first cf-19, and there isnt a cf-19 FAQ section, I'm not sure what Im looking at.
I thinking it takes the newer narrow style wifi card, but just a guess.
Pics attached.

You have missing wi-fi card. The slot is empty. The wi-fi card is located near the Hdd connector, in front of it. It uses a mini pci-e card not the half mini. The black coax with u.fl connnector is for main and the white is for aux.. You have MK2 unit.
The other pcie card connector at the other side is for WWAN card.
To verify If you indeed has gps with missing antena, unscrew the four black screws. Three of them as we can see on the photo and one is hidden beneath that white plastic tape. But before that you must release the ribbon connector to the main board by togling it up( I don't know the exact words btw,Lol) also unplug the two antena cable. Those two connector is just an stationary for the purpose of not messing it up the u.fl plug to pcb board or to any circuit/component part of the unit.
Then gently lift it the daughter board coz the bluetooth antena is attached beneath. unplug it. The bluetooth module are attached beneath that duaghterboard and the gps module is attached to the next board but not really as it is screwed on the case.

The Wi-fi card goes in the center where the white label is. I can't tell if the card is there or not. The green board is for WWAN. If you have GPS the antenna bumpout would be next to the WWAN board. The GPS board mounts under the WWAN board.

Thank you, thank you, time to pull the back off again, though its easy, as the unit only came with one screw holding it on.
I think I have a few of those mini pci e, but will have to check. -
I dont have the antenna, but I pulled the back off, unscrewed the wwan board, and not sure what was under the wwan board.
Pic 1 is the card on the bottom, and pic two is the card on the underside of the wwan card.
sorry for bad pics, cell is all i have at the moment

The board with mk2 on it is the sound board. The board with the blue cable is Bluetooth. The GPS board sandwiches between the sound board and the WWAN board. You do not have GPS.

OK, that sucks, but good to know.
I guess the next consideration is should I go with a facotry/oem plug and play gps, or the custom toughbooks ones from Norway.
