I got one of these models in stock today: CF-19CHBAXBM

According to panny it's a touchscreen. However, it has a digitizer panel on it!!!! The digitizer panel works great... and you can right click too with the digi pen... You CANNOT use your finger to touch the screen. It has Tablet PC installed...

In the bios it shows CF-19CHBAXBM as well as the COA is XP Professional, NOT Tablet PC.

What gives??? Should I try installing XP pro to see if I can get the "touchscreen" to work?

    Thanks

EDIT: AFAIK, it's NOT a dual touch...

If the Wacom pen is working as more than just a stylus it does not have a touch screen unless its one of those Touch/Digitizer dual screens. I have never seen one.

What? I'm nobody? A normal touch screen is not physically capable of responding to the magnetic input from a digitizer stylus.

Look at the stylus slot and confirm it's the longer digitizer type
You probably have both types in stock and you should notice that the digitizer looks clearer as it omits the touchscreen panel in front of the lcd

Rob, some of the CF-19's are dual touch allowing for both touch and digitizer. I realize the H is suppose to be a Touchscreen, but you have been lucky enough to have one that is dual touch.

And may be you should install some programm\drivers, which will switch Digitizer\Touchscreen (like it was on Xplore tablets)

No... it does not appear that way... I compared it side by side to a CDBAXVM model... They look exactly the same.

So does that mean that someone put a digitizer panel on a touchscreen laptop?

Alex, I don't have an actual touchscreen model to compare it to either...

Are you just grumpy this morning or hate me now because of the last issue we had with my account?? :(

Not grumpy ,it's just you look at things different than I do
    For instance

I would have the lid apart quite quickly to see if there is connections to a touchscreen panel on the front

This picture might not help if they just replaced the screen and not the whole top half :(

Somebody may modified the unit and its posible by adding the connector header and it elect..s component on the mbo. or maybe somebody change the model no. on which is supposed to be CF-19CD... not CF-19CH...
