    Hi everyone,
A few years back, my employer issued me a CF-19MK2 (With a Port Replicator) to replace a Motion LE1600 tablet. About two years ago, they replaced the 19 with a Dell XPR XT2. Seeing that my head office was in the USA and I'm in Canada, they said to keep the 19, as "it would cost too much to reimport it to the US." I wasn't going to argue. When the company closed it's Canadian operations, they only wanted the Dell back, so I was glad. Since then, I have installed Windows 7 on the 19 and everything seemed to go well. (I have it set up as a dual boot with WinXP Tablet, seeing that was never given the Restore disc for it.) All in all, it works fine, with one little issue. about 50% of the time, when the 19 comes out of hibernation, the WIFI isn't connecting to my AP. I can't even see any APs in my area. The easiest way to get around it is to click on the WIFI in the task bar and run the trouble shooter. It sees that the WIFI isn't connected and reconnects. Is there anything to prevent this from happening?

Also, when I was given the Dell, the company shut off my WWAN. It was through Sprint. Seeing that I use my iPhone as a WIFI Hotspot, I don't need the WWAN. While I had the cover off the 19, I figured that I would take it out, seeing that it wasn't doing anything and I didn't know if it was sucking away any power. That went fine. (I even changed the DIP switches, so that may have made things go easier, maybe not.) My question is, is this card any good to anyone? Seeing that we don't have Sprint in Canada, there isn't a market for them. I din't know if I should keep it or recycle it or give it away.
    Thanks,
    Ted

Hibernate wreaks havoc and when it goes there and then comes out, some things just don't start up right. Next is the "card". Is it a GOBI 1000? 2000? The carrier software works for 3 providers..... Verizon, AT@T and Sprint. Let me know. Dual booting also will play havoc sometimes because you should, when switching operating systems, shut down, pull the battery, unplug the power, switch the hard drive..... Some things get stuck in the RAM for some reason and I was having a problem until I started doing the aforementioned.

My CF-52MK4 + 53MK1 does the same thing but if you wait about 10-20 seconds it will reconnect, just needs time to wake up. You can fix that...its in the power settings some where.

I agree with above - Just go into settings & tell it to never hibernate - I upgraded my MK2 to Win 7 & never looked back! PM me if you'd like a free Ubuntu disc ( you pay shipping)_ Cleve

I'll have to check the model number of the card, but it was a Sierra WWAN card, not a GOBI.

As for dual booting, it never seems to be a problem when booting from one OS to the other, just when I hibernate. I recently upgraded to the newest driver from Intel for the 4965AG card and it seems to be operating correctly now.

Now that it's working, I want to change things. :D
Is the any problem with swapping the 4965AG for a 4965AGN? I've upgraded my WIFI at home and am craving the need for speed.
