    Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

My cousin is a cop and his department gave him an old CF-19. The complete part number is CF-19DJG30BM. They gave him the unit with no HD or caddy. I was able to purchase a caddy and HD and installed Windows 7. I'm still in the process of working the drivers issues out but after installing the OS I realized the unit had no wi-fi so I bought an Intel 4965AGN and installed it. The install is pretty straightforward but I'm having an issue with the cabling. Since there was no card installed before I'm not sure where to get the antenna wires to plug in to the card. The docking connector has 4 antenna connections on it. There is a grey cable plugged in to the bottom left connector. The bottom right connector is not connected to anything. The top two connectors have a white cable connected on the left and a black one on the right.

I think I need to disconnected the white cable and connect it to port 2 on the wi-fi card and get an extra cable and connect it between port 1 on the wifi card and the connection that used to be for the white cable.

Does that sound right? Where would I get this cable? I've been building desktops for years as a hobby and this is the first time I'm upgrading parts in a laptop.

    Thanks again for your help.

    This video may help some..

This thread has exact instructions. I copied them for future searches

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic/445074-adding-bt-wifi-cf-19-a.html

They are all there attached to the pass thru connector except a jumper wire. Here how it works:
Take off the gray/slate wire into the passthru connector the one beside the black cable and attached it to the aux. u.fl male connector of your wireless card. Now! you need a jumper wire around 5-6" long with two female u.fl connector at both end of it, but I gess it is the one missing. That jumper wire will be connected to the pass thru connector where you take out the gray wire one and the other end will be connected to your main connector of the wireless card. Since you don't have those jumper you may take off the black wire from the pass thru connector and directly attached it to the main connector of your wireless card.

Summary: all of your wireless cable will be directly connected to the wireless card. Reason, as I said above you don't have jumper to use your pass thu connector just in case you want to use it on the docking station to have an external antena on the car or wahtever purpose you may have. Good Luck

    Blair,

I just noticed the incorrect card number in the thread title.
Should be 4965 not 4665..Do you want to correct that to ease future searches?
