I have a Cf-20 mk1. It takes about 40 seconds from power on to get to my sign on windows screen. 20 seconds of black screen followed by 10 seconds of a flashing white dash in the upper left of the dark screen. Then 10 more seconds to my password screen. Is this normal? Haven’t heard back from Panasonic yet. Thought I’d check in with the experts here as well

No definitely not normal. Typical boot time for mine was about 15-20 sec and that was with company security software loaded.

I would reinstall W10 for starters. Something is definitely wrong. I know W10 is all messed anyways but to take that long to boot. What do you have for a HDD...SSD or spinner ?

That's what I was thinking too. That's why I said reinstall W10. Every new built W10 comes out with has more bugs than the last one. This is as true fact.

Have you run the Toughbook Diagnostics yet. Not sure about your model but most Toughbooks I have owned it can be found in the bios

I’ll have to check out the bios. Might have to try at W10 reload. Will update this evening. Thanks :)

I don't think it will find anything but it doesn't hurt to run it too see. I have had problems with SSD's before that slowed down my boot times but I don't think that is the case here. Good luck tonight.
