I wanted to let users or future users of CF-27's with Win 2000 know that you can upgrade to an 80 Gig Hard drive. I got mine on craigslist for $30. Good mod and gained much speed compared to the old drive.

Hard drive is the IDE style so you will need to buy the USB to IDE converter from e-bay (I think it was like $7.00). This will allow you to do your clone from C: to D: via a USB cable/IDE adapter.

I downloaded xxcopy (freeware) to do the clone. It is a small program and completed the clone in about 30 minutes.

Runs faster than the old 6 Gig. They system recognizes all of the extra storage when I go to my computer.

It will recognize anything under 137 Gb I had a 160 Gb drive in mine at one time and divided into two partitions 120 Gb and 40 Gb if I remember correctly.
