Maybe DNS is not configured. Check it by pinging google.com for example.
There is no new MSIE for WinXP. Opera for XP, maybe another old version browser.

Maybe a issue with internet explorer. You could put a older version of Firefox on a USB or CD

Also, you shouldn't be connecting any PC running XP to the internet, there are NO security updates, and there are lots of exploits, having it on your network is a liability because it WILL be used to exploit all your other systems, its an unsafe OS to still be connected to the internet, only reason to still use XP is due to legacy software, dont use XP as a daily OS because it is not.

XP (will work) or nothing (will not work) because of, you know, some RAM limitations of CF-27 :))
CF-27 is ok for wheel replacement etc.

I totally understand using it with legacy tools that require old OS's, but with such a limited CPU, and so little RAM, it will be a pain to navigate any recent website, plus, its unsafe.

If you do plan on using this as a main laptop then I wouldn’t go with it. I’d go with either a 29 or 30 or even a MK1 31 if you got the $$

    Let's start with more info.
    Why Win XP?
Is this your main online computer?

Have you considered Linux? POP OS is very clean looking.

Wow, time is passing faster than I thought, looks like they won't be supporting 7 in the near future let alone XP. Thanks for making me feel Old  :D

Well there is a MOD that allowed windows xp to still get updates until some time in 2019 by using commands to changing your windows version to a Embeded version. There is a MOD out now for extend support for 7. I just haven't personally done either.

Also "steady State" is a option for windows xp. Every time you reboot it resets everything to how you had it even if you get a nasty virus. Just reset. They have something like it for 7 as well but it's under a different name.

May want to mod your version of windows XP with BARTS PE and make a custom ISO trim the fat down so it runs better on your lower specs. I have done it a few times before. I got one ISO cut down to under 100 mb, but just about everything is stripped out of it. Just take out what you don't want, trash IE and go with another browser. I think you can still get older extensions for ad block and pop up block though older versions of firefox. Can even get older portable versions of that browser as well.
