Hello all, new member of forum, but long time visitor. Great site, lots of good info, keep up the great work...
Here is my question> Would like to get a media bay battery for my ol' CF-27 but have not found much info on 1 for this unit. I see them for the 28/29, which I would think would work since the FDD/CD drives are the same, anyone know for sure about these? If anyone has one, what kind of life do you get on the media bay batt? Thanks all, keep on keeping on!

Don't quote me, but I do believe this was discussed a long time ago and the media batteries will not work on the 27. Do a forum search for media bay battery and it should come up. Look for a date about 9-10 months ago.

I would think the battery would cost as much as the laptop!

I don't believe the media bay battery will work in the CF-27. It wasn't supported until the MK2 CF-28.

I just plugged my media bay battery into a CF-27 MK2 and it is not supported.
In the battery settings it does not even show the second as being there.

That is interesting because if you look inside the media bay at the top right there is what looks like a propriatary plug that looks like a power supply type plug. By the way TB I saw one on ebay last week, the bidding was up to about $50.00 I don't know what the final price was.
