    I'm having a problem with my CF-27E

Upon start up I receive two error messages.

Save to disk partition not found
Save to disk feature is disabled

I tried using the image recovery disk/cd that was provided with the laptop, but it also gives me an error message.

There are no acceptable devices for image recovery

I contacted panasonic, which they directed me to their Canada site. I've downloaded all the required drivers that will be needed. My problem is that I don't know how to use the software provided to fix the partition drive. Some one else suggested that I try using a clean recovery disk, but I don't know where to get that.

Does anyone know how I can fix these issues?

    Thanks

I have just purchased a CF-27 and am receiving the same error message. While I don't postively know the answer to your question, I think this is the problem:

Your hard disk was replaced or repartitioned and formatted into one partition and there is no room for the hibernation or recovery partition. That is why your recovery disk doesn't help - it can't find a partition in which to reinstall. What I think you will need to do is repartition your hard drive into two partitions - the first one is likely a small one (I don't yet know the size) for the recovery disk and the other (second partition) as the primary partition for your OS and files. Before you proceed you need to know that this would wipe out everything on the drive, so only do this after verifying with someone more knowledgeable  than myself and only after backing up everything, including your drivers.

Another possiblity is if there is some software that can repartition one drive into two. I would check into Partition Magic or another to see if this would work without having to wipe your entire drive and start again.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the recovery partition is only needed under certain situations, which you might be comfortable living with instead of trying to correct. I doubt there is any other consequence of these error messages.

Of course, what do I know, I new here!!

    Good luck.
