Does the CF-27 support modern wpa2 security or only wep ?
I know the CF-25 is wep only

CF-27 didn't have any wifi, nor did CF-28 except as an option in the late models. Wifi was standard on CF-29 and later.

The CF-27 I have is running windows 98 SE I have a netgear ma401 pcmcia card that I installed
in one of the slots . I have a old router that supports wep security , I was able to connect to the router
and i'm getting a 100 percent signal on the netgear card . I can open internet explorer but it won't open
any web page . So I believe that I have an outdated internet explorer thats 98 is running. Can I update to
    Windows 2000 or XP sp3 ? , and can a CF-25 take 2000 or XP also ? .

You really don't want to run W2k or XP on a CF-25, they're just too slow.

Also there are several Linux versions made for older PC's. I use to use damsmalllinux on the CF-25 I have, I know puppy is another. There are more. These would give you a much needed update on your browser.

98SE might run (slowly) on a CF-25, but the newest IE that works with 98SE is IEv6, and most web sites will not allow connection to IEv6 because it's too old and limited and has fundamental security flaws.

    You could try 98lite: https://www.litepc.com/98lite.html

Oh, and you can get 98SE from WinWorldPC.

I download loaded firefox 2.0.0.22 older version on my CF-27 however I get pop up's that some encryption
is'nt enabled is there any other browsers that would work better on 98SE ?, I would rather download XP rather
    to deal with 98SE
