I just got a CF-27 mk2 recently. For the most part, I am satisfied with it except for two problems.

First, the touchpad is not very responsive. I have to apply an unusual amount of pressure, compared to other laptop touchpads, to it in order to move the cursor. Is this normal?

Second, the CF-27's battery lasts for a small amount of time. Can anyone give me an estimate of the battery life? Is it possible to purchase a new battery or rebuild the battery?

    Welcome to the forum,

The touchpad problem is not normal, it may have to be replaced if it becomes to much of an annoyance. The batteries for these units are typically over 10 years old and you may be better off having it rebuilt. I had mine rebuilt by batteryrefill.com and am happy with the results I typically get about 3.5 hours out of the battery before the battery went fully dead I was only getting about 45 minutes to an hour from the battery.

First... The touchpad on the CF-27 uses pressure and not heat from the fingertip as most laptops do. This way a gloved hand can use the touchpad. Depending on the OS... You may try to adjust the sensativity.

As far as the battery... Give it up... Buy a new one. These are OLD batteries. There really no way to rework the batteries to get them to work.

    Thanks for the replies.
I think I will buy a new battery.
